Man charged with assault, breaches after attack

Grey Bruce OPP charged a 23-year-old man of no fixed address after someone was hit on the head Wednesday in what police called an attack.

Police said they were called at 11:33 p.m. to a disturbance at an apartment complex at Highway 6/10 in Meaford.

The victim was struck on the back of the head with an unknown object, causing minor injury, and was transported to hospital for treatment.

The suspect faces a charge of assault, two counts of breaching a release order and two more of breaching probation. He was to appear in bail court today.
