





Three Georgian Bluffs residents have been charged in connection with an investigation into multiple thefts from construction sites in Grey-Bruce in recent months.
On June 5, Grey Bruce OPP officers assisted members of the OPP Grey Bruce Community Street Crime Unit in executing a search warrant at a residence on Sideroad 15 in Georgian Bluffs.
Officers arrested three people found in the residence.
As a result of the search, officers recovered a stolen firearm, assorted stolen lumber, construction tools, 74 industrial solar panels, and seized illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. The estimated value of the recovered property is $43,000, it said in a news release from Grey Bruce OPP.
A 49-year-old man was charged with four counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of ammunition contrary to a probation order.
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on Aug. 13.
A 37-year-old man and 38-year-old woman were both charged with possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a prohibited device – high capacity magazine, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, four counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Both were both held for bail hearings on June 6.
