Three Owen Sound men have been arrested in relation to a fentanyl trafficking investigation in Owen Sound.
On Tuesday, just before 5 p.m., members of the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigation Branch arrested the men as they arrived in a vehicle at an east side motel.
Police located highly toxic purple fentanyl with a street value of $2,000 as well as more than 100 grams of cannabis and over $500 cash, Owen Sound police said in a news release.
Each of the three men were charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking. Two of the men were also charged with possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis, while one of the men was also charged with failing to comply with conditions of his judicial release based on previous drug trafficking charges still before the courts.
All three men were held for bail hearings.
