Fight over feeding seagulls results in assault charge in Wiarton

A fight over feeding seagulls has resulted in an assault charge for one Wiarton man Monday evening.

Grey Bruce OPP were dispatched to a Frank Street residence in Wiarton where two neighbours were said to be fighting about feeding the local seagull population.

After a verbal argument, the accused spit in the victim’s face and stepped on their foot, according to an OPP media release.

A 58-year-old Wiarton man was charged with assault.

He was released with a court date.
