Weapons charges against Northern Bruce Peninsula man


A Northern Bruce Peninsula man faces numerous weapons charges after an incident in Northern Bruce Peninsula on Thursday.

Grey Bruce OPP responded to Corey Crescent at 10:18 a.m. about a weapons complaint, where there was an argument involving several people and one person displayed a firearm in a threatening way, it said in a news release from police.

Police have charged a 19-year-old man with three counts of handling a firearm in a careless manner, three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, three counts of assault with a weapon, and three counts of pointing a firearm.

The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice on Friday.
